My
previous mail detail about Tamilnadu regional level consultations ,One
-Madurai regional level ,Second -Coimbatore regional for Manual
scavenging prohibition and rehabilitation Act 2013 ,
Our AHRF(Arunthathiyar human rights forum ) Tamilnadu ,done first madurai
regional level consultation at Madurai IDEAS Centre ,on 16th Feb 2014
,This consultation we invited scavengers Trade union leaders,NGOs ,Dalit
Movement leaders .We had one day morning 10 Am to 4 Pm .
We discussed about present issue and New law .Our discussion bring some recommendation .
1.We will sent memorandum some key changes in new Law to Social justice ministry .
2.Tamilnadu government should form a rules this Act at state level
3.Conduct the base line data as per Act
4.Tamilnadu Govet should form a district and state level monitoring committees
5.State and central Govet budget allocation for purchase new mechinaries for scavengers
Also after our coimbatore regional consultation ,we having
state level at chennai ,We are going to meet ,Tamilnadu state secretary
for this issue .
